I'm sorry that people are assholes and give you a lot of shit but I think its pretty amazing that a cis male runs this blog. As a bisexual androgynous female I run into a lot of straight cis men who just don't get it. My cis boyfriend gets a lot of "isn't it gay of you to like a chick like that?" As to the recent influx of anon hate, people on here have this ridiculous expectation that everyone should be politically correct all the time. Which is an impossible expectation for anyone.

People, what he did was mistake an identity he didn't know about for a medical condition that sounded similar to it and then misinterpreted a message as misgendering him. He was corrected politely and responded to it politely. His knowledge of gender increased, and that should have been the end of it. Being rude to people who offend you accidentally doesn't help. In fact it hurts our causes. If he was actually being transphobic that would be different. Can the asshats just stop, please?

For all the people throwing a hissy, I vouch that although Aaron is a complete dick most/alot of the time he is also usually right and thinks long and hard about his position(s) on gender and sexuality before he voices them and is also pretty darn righteous about it. If you feel like he has treated someone wrongly it is not based on their sexuality or gender, but their personality and his personality. Sometimes people just don't get along, thats just the world at work.

I'm sorry, but your behavior speaks louder than the fact that you have a blog. I was referring to the asker as zir (not you) because it is gender neutral, I don't know zir preferred pronouns, and I have no way of asking an anonymous person. I would have if I could have. As someone who prefers gender neutral pronouns myself, believe me, I would have asked about preferred pronouns if it were possible.

I'm the one that sent that anon about the injustice and shit. I just wanted to be sure you weren't going to blow up. You're completely correct, they want justice, but they are so full of shitting out injustice from ever orifice that they don't have time to fight for our rights. Really, why the fighting? I don't go by cis gendered, butch, femme, dyke or any of those. I'm not even going by lesbian, I go by gay, and that is enough to define me as a person to anyone I don't love.
